Q What do you think sets
you apart from other doctors?

Whether I’m performing procedures
or seeing patients in consultation,
I try to talk with them openly
and make the experience feel comfortable.

Rather than being seen
as someone distant or intimidating,
I want to be a doctor who feels approachable
almost like an older sister or a friend.

I also make a conscious effort to think
from the patient’s perspective and
focus only on what is truly necessary for them.

This clinic opened in 2018,
but even through major life changes
including getting married, having a child,
and moving between hospitals
I still have patients who have stayed with
me since I became board-certified in 2012.

I believe that kind of long-term trust
is one of the most meaningful
parts of being a doctor.

Q. What made you choose
dermatology as your specialty?

Initially, I was interested in
pursuing a surgical specialty,
particularly plastic surgery.

At the time, however,
surgical fields tended to
favor male candidates more heavily.

Dermatology,
on the other hand, felt like a field
where I could fully apply my strengths
especially the attention to
detail and sensitivity that I value.

That was a big part of
why I chose dermatology,
and looking back,
I believe it was the right decision for me.

Q 유튜브를 시작하게 된 계기는
무엇인가요?

재작년에 새로 병원을 개원하면서
병원 마케팅 차원에서 그리고
정보 전달을 목적으로 시작했어요.

이제는 블로그보다는 유튜브로
검색을 많이 하는 편이기도 하고

진료하면서 환자분들이 궁금해하시는
것들을 제가 계속 말로 하다 보니
아 이걸 유튜브로 풀면 더 좋겠다 생각했죠.

제 친동생이 마케팅, 유튜브 촬영
일을 도와서 하고 있어
더 재미있게 할 수 있는 것 같아요.

제가 블로그도 같이 운영하는데,
블로그 조회수는 100?
이렇게 된다고 하면 유튜브는
요즘에 올리면 1만 넘게
조회수가 올라가기도 해요.

Q 유튜브 컨텐츠의 영감은
주로 어디서 받으시나요?

주로 환자분들 진료하면서
그 경험을 위주로 올려요.

궁금해하시는 것들이 겹치는 게
많아서 질문 토대로 컨텐츠를 만들죠.

유튜브 업로드하는데 단순히
제 머릿속에서 나오는 게 아니라

요즘 트렌드에 맞춰 논문도
많이 찾아보고 대본도 만들어요.

Q 기억에 남는 환자분이 있나요?

제가 앞서 말했던 2012년부터
쭉 오신 환자분은 피부가 좋아지면서
성격도 밝아지시고 시간이 지나
결혼도 하시고 긍정적인 모습을
보면서 보람을 느끼더라고요.

피부과는 단순히 미용뿐만 아니라,
삶의 태도까지 바꿔줘서
정신 치료에도 도움이 된다고 생각해요.

유튜브 보고 병원 찾아왔다고 하신
환자분들도 있고요.

Q 엄마로서, 피부과 의사로서,
유튜버로서
이렇게 해낼 수 있는 원동력은
무엇인가요?

원장으로서의 책임감도 있고
유튜버를 하면서 더 잘해야겠다는
욕심이 생겨요.

다음에는 어떻게 더 말을 잘할 수 있고
어떻게 촬영해야 더 좋을지
어떤 컨텐츠를 올려야 좋을지
하면서 점점 욕심이 생기더라고요.

큰 원동력이 되어주는 것 같아요.
