What has that experience been like for you?
Los Angeles and Beverly Hills
have so much to offer that it’s difficult
to capture in just a few words.
Simply put, it feels like living
in a beautiful paradise every day.
The skies are clear, and the weather
is consistently wonderful.
Because of its unique geography
and natural beauty, this city attracts people
from all kinds of backgrounds.

briefly introduce yourself as a doctor?

Hello, I’m Dr. Donald Yoo.
I am a facial plastic surgeon based in Beverly Hills,
specializing exclusively in facial procedures.
My areas of expertise include rhinoplasty,
Asian rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty,
Asian double eyelid surgery, blepharoplasty,
and facial rejuvenation procedures including lifting.
I am deeply passionate about facial plastic
surgery because I believe it involves
some of the most complex and
fascinating anatomy in the human body.
What makes this field especially meaningful
to me is the ability to create refined,
balanced results that enhance each
patient’s natural features.

In particular, the scenery of Rodeo Drive
and the iconic palm-lined streets create
the perfect backdrop for experiencing
the essence of a California summer.
Q. What does your ideal
weekend usually look like?
My ideal weekend is simply spending
time with my wife, Hailey, and Lili.
Being able to go outside and enjoy the
beautiful weather is something I truly value.
Sometimes, just having a good cup of coffee,
taking in the scenery, and appreciating
the beauty around us is enough to
make us feel genuinely happy and grateful.
After a busy week filled with patient
consultations and surgeries,
sitting down with my wife,
talking about everything
that happened during the week,
and sharing laughter together
is always the perfect way to recharge.
Q. What’s the difference between
your fashion style as a doctor
and your personal fashion preferences?
Personally,
I tend to like bold and distinctive styles,
so my personal fashion taste
is a bit more expressive and fashion-forward.
However, as a plastic surgeon,
it’s equally important to project
a highly professional image,
so I pay close attention to the details.
Although I’m wearing a crisp white coat today,
I often like to add personality
through unique, character-driven shoes.
I also enjoy wearing scrubs that feel stylish
while still reflecting my identity as a doctor.
This time, I had the opportunity to try
a beautiful set of scrubs from Acmé de la Vie.
So I came looking for the perfect
pair of sneakers to complete the look.
Q. What do you find to be the most impressive
advantages of living in the Beverly Hills area?
“ It is sunny and the weather
is generally beautiful all the time. ”
It’s a vibrant urban area
filled with shopping centers,
aesthetic clinics, and luxury retail,
yet it is also surrounded by beautiful
beaches just a short drive away.
Because the weather is consistently pleasant,
you can enjoy the beach almost year-round.
Whenever I want a change of scenery
or simply need to clear my mind,
I can head west and be
at the ocean within a short time.
Being able to take in those wide-open
coastal views always feels incredibly
refreshing and restorative.
Q. What are your plans for the new year ahead?
In 2019, I plan to continue doing
what I love most helping my patients
become more beautiful and confident.
At the same time,
I’ll be moving into a new home
and look forward to creating a warm
and meaningful space with my family.
And perhaps, we may even welcome
a new addition to the family.
